Suzanne's roots in real estate began at an early age, shaped by her grandparents' ownership of numerous commercial buildings in Los Angeles and her mother's extensive four-decade career in the industry. She eventually joined her mother as a co-partner, navigating the East Bay's real estate market with the Marvin Gardens Real Estate brokerage. Suzanne's profound comprehension of the industry's intricacies, honed through years of familial involvement, coupled with her entrepreneurial pursuits and stellar marketing background, position her as a top-tier provider of real estate services.
In 2014, Suzanne and her husband Michael, a contractor and designer, launched Twinkle Lighting. Their venture adorned various locales, from towns like Tiburon, Ross, and Larkspur, to businesses such as Picco, Scomas, and Acqua Hotel, as well as residential spaces, infusing them with seasonal, festive, and landscape lighting. This entrepreneurial experience with so many of the county’s diverse locations deepened Suzanne's understanding of Marin's unique communities.
Demonstrating their ability to transform challenges into opportunities, Suzanne and Michael refurbished an aging cottage on their property, renamed "The Bathhouse," into a charming retreat, earning them Superhost status on Airbnb. Amidst raising three children across different Marin high schools and residing in various Mill Valley neighborhoods, they eventually settled in their "Almonte Compound." Through these experiences, Suzanne gained firsthand insight into the complexities of buying and selling homes in Marin, equipping her to guide clients with patience, tenacity, and follow-through.
Prior to her real estate career, Suzanne spent over two decades promoting and producing premieres for HBO and, more recently, worked with Glassdoor. Her background in marketing, communications, and project management, paired with her adept negotiation and problem-solving skills, enables her to provide reliable and dedicated service to her clients.
Philanthropy holds a significant place in Suzanne's life, influenced by her Jewish upbringing. She remains dedicated to causes concerning women's health and food insecurity, reflecting her ongoing commitment to making a positive impact.
