Lawrence Fong

Lawrence was born and raised in San Francisco, shuffling between Nob Hill for his early schooling and the Inner Richmond district where he grew up by Golden Gate Park's famous scenery and trails. This has given him a special perspective of the city, having seen its one-of-a-kind neighborhoods evolve over the years into the alluring and diverse city it has become.

Lawrence's real estate journey with Vanguard incidentally started in 2001 where as a teenager, his love for real estate and interiors led him to see single-family home listed in the newspaper that he knew would be perfect for his parents and siblings. He persuaded them to attend the open house and in minutes ‘sold’ his parents on the vision of a new life in a new home. Soon, the property was theirs which was listed by Vanguard's founder, James Nunemacher. Lawrence was part of the buying process from the start-  learning the art of negotiating, examining disclosures, and understanding the emotions that come with home buying and selling. Now over 20 years later, Lawrence finds himself again working with Vanguard.

Lawrence joins Vanguard with over 17 years of success as a strategy and operations executive leader at Gap Inc, Amazon Inc, DoorDash, and software startups. He has managed multiple divisions, led complex organizations, and scaled businesses internationally. His key skills are an attention to the finest of details, a tireless work ethic, and attuned empathy which he brings each day to his clients and business partners.
