Kevin is currently a real estate salesperson representing buyers and sellers in the Bay Area. Before becoming a real estate salesperson, Kevin was a real estate appraiser for over three decades, having appraised over 10,000 properties, 8,000 in San Francisco.
With this experience, he has come across just about every unique property imaginable and has become proficient with how to value them. Kevin has been in most San Francisco neighborhoods if not hundreds of times, then dozens, and is familiar with practically every street in The City.
His experience includes appraising over 1,000 2-4 unit buildings, single-family residences, condominiums, cooperatives, subsidized housing units, TICs, vacant lots, properties with sale prices up to $35,000,000 and properties with costs up to $100,000,000 (yes $100M). Property owners have included the most famous of 49ers football players, two past San Francisco mayors, two US Congress persons, a member of one of the world’s most famous rock bands and CEOs, presidents and VPs of world-renowned corporations.
Kevin has appraised oceanfront, bay front, high-rise penthouse units and acreage properties (with site sizes up to 500 acres). He appraised approximately 100 units at the 58-story Millennium Tower for one of the litigants in the leaning/sinking of that building.
He has reviewed hundreds of contracts which is a required part of the appraisal process.
Kevin has extensive valuation experience; however, at Vanguard Properties Kevin is working as a Realtor (a completely separate role).
In 1996 he was one of five people chosen from the Northern Nevada and Northeastern California area to represent Rotary International in an exchange of business professionals with the Uttar Pradesh State of India, an area consisting of 125 million people. He served as a representative of the appraisal and real estate industries. In-depth presentations were given to Rotary clubs in twelve cities in Uttar Pradesh regarding the United States real estate industry.
Kevin grew up in northwest, rural New Jersey at Lake Mohawk in Sparta Township. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1978 with a BS in Psychology.
Kevin has lived in the Midtown Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco for 28 years, is married, and has two wonderful daughters and a furry best friend, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. He has always been active and currently swims, cycles, skis and is an active member and instructor of the San Francisco Lawn Bowling Club in Golden Gate Park.
