Together with my partner, Jonathan McNarry partners in life and business we work with Vanguard Properties the locally owned, top-producing brokerage that sells some of San Francisco’s finest properties. The third member of our team is our black labrador retriever named Raffi. We’re top producers and frequent commentators in the media and we work with buyers and sellers alike, seasoned and new. Our approach is truly hands-on and rooted in the philosophy that things in life go better when you’re kind, nice, and better prepared.

My law degree is from Boalt Hall (U.C. Berkeley's School of Law), my MA degree is from SOAS, University of London, the world's leading institution for the study of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and my BA is from Washington University, St. Louis. I am a licensed California attorney and was in private practice for 5 years before switching to real estate 99.9% of the time (as you can never quite take the lawyer out of me). Before that, I worked as a reporter at an AP paper in Iowa, a Senate Press Intern in Washington, and a press intern at Universal Music in London. In law school, I was a reattach assistant and, after graduating in 2004, clerked with a World Bank international arbitration tribunal and worked on state-to-state claims along with investment disputes. In private practice, I focused on civil litigation, property law, maritime law, and insurance coverage issues.
I was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa where my parents own a Chinese restaurant and various commercial properties. So, real estate and good food was always in my life.
I started doing real estate formally in 2011 after getting my Real Estate Broker’s License and took to real estate like a fish does to water. Together with my partner Jonathan, who has been doing real estate and development since he was a kid and licensed to sell real estate in California for more than 10 years, we have built a wonderful client base. We’ve sold more than $100,000,000 worth of real estate in just a few short years and we rank among the top 2-3% of San Francisco’s agents and are going strong as we continue to grow our client base and practice.
