Prior to joining Vanguard Properties, Jennifer was a shareholder at Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP, where she served as Practice Area Leader in the firm’s San Francisco office for both the Real Estate Agent & Broker Liability Team and the Real Estate Errors & Omissions Team. Her practice focused on defending real estate professionals in civil litigation and administrative proceedings. In addition, Jennifer served as outside General Counsel to several leading Northern California brokerages, advising executive leadership and more than 500 real estate professionals on transactional risk management, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, brokerage operations, insurance coverage matters, and best practices designed to reduce exposure and improve transaction outcomes.
Jennifer was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star by Law & Politics Magazine in 2009 and from 2013 through 2021. She is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), and was selected to attend the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial School in 2013.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Business and Sociology, from Tulane University in 2003. She received her Juris Doctor, with a Litigation Specialization, from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2006. During law school, she participated in Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Trial Advocacy programs and continues to support the program today as a mock trial competition judge.
