Sandy Mays has been a resident of Sonoma County for over 30 years , working in the Sonoma County real estate industry for 20 years and is a familiar face in Sebastopol, and the west county communities .

Sandy has been involved in many non profit and community organizations, including past board member of the Sebastopol Downtown Association, the Laguna de Santa Rosa foundation, a leader of Slow Food Russian River, and the Cool Schools Project, working with local students in learning about reducing green house gas emissions from their school operations.
