Victoria Johnston

Victoria moved to Sonoma County from the Bay Area and has a deep connection to, and love for this county. She relocated to Occidental in 1995 with her husband and two young sons when they realized this village had everything to offer on their wish list. Victoria has a passion for meeting new people and quickly immersed herself in the community, got elected to the Harmony School Board and started the first school wide garden program at the local school, which has gone viral in Sonoma County. Victoria has a passion for connecting people to community, has a wonderful ability to sense the needs of others, and exudes valuable insight only an elder in the community can offer.

Victoria’s family built their dream house on 32 undeveloped acres in Occidental, which was an incredible learning experience. As an owner-builder, contractor, they designed their home with Green Building principles and developed the land with Permaculture practices, including solar and legal roof water collection. Victoria is nourished by this lifestyle and is excited about supporting others as they imagine possibilities for their own home. She became a LEED Accredited Professional and oversaw the design, funding and building of the Salmon Creek Falls Environmental Center, as the LEED AP, creating the first Platinum LEED public school building in the State of California.

In her free time, Victoria finds delight in grandparenting her three young grandkids with her husband of 42 years. She is a long-time meditator and finds great satisfaction in helping elders transition in a conscious manner. Victoria has traveled extensively with her family, which has only reinforced their feelings that Sonoma County is the best place in the world to live.

Using her architectural knowledge, eye for detail and ability to find creative solutions, Victoria is able to identify the possibilities of a property. She is a skilled communicator and effective negotiator, while actively listening to her client’s needs and works hard to achieve their goals.

Trust, open communication and a deep understanding of each client’s desires and priorities are the cornerstones of Victoria’s approach. Her clients repeatedly refer her to friends and family, and she works primarily on referrals. Whether buying or selling your home, she will work with tremendous enthusiasm to ensure a smooth successful transaction and positive experience.
